FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Financial assistance is available in the form of scholarships for medical and physical therapies, payment of medical expenses and co-payment for adaptive equipment. Emergency financial aid for housing is available and reviewed on a case by case basis.

EQUIPMENT LOANS
MSCS maintains a variety of adaptive equipment items which are available for loan, at no cost. MSCS also assists with the repair and maintenance of existing equipment. Our current inventory includes:

Manuel wheelchairs, scooters, adjustable bed, various kinds of walkers, bedside commodes, bath seats, transfer boards, over bed table, crutches and canes, hoyer lift, tub transfer benches, cushion grip utensils, telescopic page turner/typing wand mouth stick and cool collars.

LENDING LIBRARY
The MSCS office has up to date information about MS and literature about the emotional and physical management of symptoms. Books, audio and video tapes are available for loan. A video tape produced by this agency is also available for newly diagnosed individuals.

NEWSLETTER
MSCS provides a quarterly newsletter which includes current MS information, agency activities and special features.

SUPPORT GROUPS
MS clients and their families can share information, find support with others in their situations and hear guest speakers address issues of concern in various locations within the tri-county area. 

SEMINARS
MSCS provides periodic seminars with research updates and other medical information directly related to MS. There is no charge for attendance.

RESEARCH
The MSCS Board of Directors identifies and financially supports selected California based MS research projects on an annual basis.

PEER COUNSELING/TELEPHONE NETWORKING
The MSCS office maintains an updated listing of volunteers and resource professionals in the tri-county area who are available to assist MS people in need.

IN-HOME SERVICE PROGRAM

Clients can apply for a variety of services that include domestic assistance, home modifications, respite care, delivery of meals, care giving, psychological counseling and more.
